Maarten Boute left the telecommunications company Digicel in July, according to information obtained by AyiboPost.

Until his departure, Boute was the interim CEO of the Digicel Group, following the resignation of Oliver Coughlan last December.

Maarten Boute was a key player at Digicel for nearly 15 years. Among other things, he oversaw the reconstruction of the Digicel network after the 2010 earthquake, the acquisition of Voilà in 2012, the launch of 4G in 2013, and the launch of MonCash in 2015.

He served as CEO of Digicel Haiti until December 2021, when he was replaced by Jean-Philippe Brun, who was then the company’s Chief Operating Officer.

Until December 2023, Boute served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Digicel Group.

The departure of Maarten Boute from Digicel was mutually agreed upon with the company. Naturalized as a Haitian citizen in 2015, Boute currently holds the position of CEO at The Biohack Lab, a company specializing in wellness services.
